TAMPA, Florida -- When Mary Lee's House opened four years ago, the toys made children feel welcome.

But stuffed animals, soft colors, and the life-size tree hanging over the lobby aren't just decorations. They're the tools to help children feel at ease as they prepare to tell their
...more stories of severe trauma, abuse, or neglect.

Most of them are under the age of five.

"Domestic violence, rape, sexual assault, a lot of the things people don't like to think about that occur in our community," says Dr. Leslie Kille, who works in trauma recovery at the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay inside Mary Lee's House.

Mary Lee's House on Armenia Avenue is where children go after they've been abused or neglected and referred either by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office or by Florida's Abuse Hotline. Here, they can receive medical exams, interviews from investigators, and counseling through art.

Tampa, Florida - Work began Tuesday to repair the Columbus Drive Bridge in West Tampa.

Originally called the Michigan Avenue Bridge, it was built in 1926 and the span over the Hillsborough River is just plain old.

"It's 86 years old," says Hillsborough County spokesman Steve
...more Valdez. "The gears, the motors, the drivetrain of that swing-tail bridge are worn out. It has to be replaced."

While repairs take place, the historic bridge is completely closed to traffic.

About 20,000 cars a day typically used the bridge and while Columbus Drive near the bridge is still open to local traffic, small businesses along that stretch are likely to suffer.

At the Discount Food III grocery store, aisles on Tuesday were devoid of the usual customers picking up their usual items. "Snack, soda, candy... not today, today is nothing," says clerk Youcef Kihal.

It may be a long, slow three months for businesses. That's how long the bridge work is

Tampa, Florida -- Another Tampa local is going to be featured on national tv!

This time, it's Rick Silva, CEO of Checkers Drive-In who you'll see on tonight's episode of Undercover Boss on CBS.

He sported a full head of hair and fake mustache, posing as a reality show

If you ever thought flipping burgers was easy, think again.

"That's too much," an employee is heard telling Silva, as he spreads too much mayo on a sandwich.

"Keeping up with the pace and being friendly and being fast at the same time, it was a challenge," Silva told 10 News.

The CEO knew there'd be a learning curve, even after working years in the restaurant business, he just didn't realize how tight that curve would be.

"The most embarrassing moment for me was not being able to keep up," he

Tampa, Florida -- The farm to plate movement may be nothing new, but we are seeing more restaurants across Tampa Bay moving away from produce and livestock farmed outside the area and getting back to the local farm.

"It tastes so much better," said John Matthews, "If you haven't had
...more fresh broccoli before, you have no idea what you're missing."

To say Matthews is passionate about locally grown food is an understatement.

His life revolves around it.

He created the Suncoast Food Alliance about four years ago after noticing the struggle for restaurants to get locally grown food on their menus.

While there's no shortage of farms in our area, there is a problem with convenience.

So, he became a "middle man", picking up the harvest from local farms and bringing them directly to the restaurants.

"It's not the easiest way to do things, but it's the best way," said Matthews, "If you're going to put the best quality food out,
