UPDATE:  Mitt Romney is in St. Petersburg this morning.  He is in the building at Mirror Lake Lyceum where he is scheduled to speak around 9 a.m..

St. Petersburg, Florida --  A security sweep at Mirror Lake Lyceum in St. Petersburg is underway this morning in preparation for the
...more arrival of presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Mitt Romney.

The former Massachusetts governor's visit comes a day after his first return trip to the battleground state of Iowa since the January Republican caucus.

A recent USA Today/Gallup poll shows that respondents view Romney just as favorably as Obama.  The same poll shows respondents feel Romney can better handle the economy.

During a speech in Iowa, Romney mentioned Obama's name at least four times in his criticism of his handling of the economy, the $5 trillion increase in the national debt since 2009, and the $787 billion stimulus package which he called the "the most careless one time expenditure in

Tampa, Florida -- Friends say Michael Agana's family has taken him off life support, days after his car crashed through the wall along Bayshore Blvd. and into Hillsborough Bay.

According to posts on Facebook pages created by friends and family, Michael Agana's family planned to
...more remove him from life support around midnight Tuesday night.

Multiple friends posted afterward that the 19-year old USF freshman had passed away.

Just as Agana's family was grappling with that difficult decision at Tampa General Hospital, more than 100 supporters gathered for a vigil not far away.

The students, parents, and friends lit candles and spent much of their time in silence as they stood near the shattered balustrade that separates Bayshore's world-famous sidewalk from the bay.

Some knew Agana from his South Tampa neighborhood. Others went to Plant High School and played alongside him on the school's drumline. Many also came from the University of

TAMPA, Fla.- The FBI, Secret Service, U.S. Marshals and IRS -- they were all part of the massive raid on a Riverview home early Tuesday. U.S. prosecutors allege the Bay Area business man who lives in the home, Osama "Sam" Mustafa, was one of at least three men who conspired to defraud millions
...more of dollars from the U.S. government.

"It's appalling," said neighbor Ginger Kaas. "It's our money. It's very, very painful."

Investigators say between July of 2009 and May of this year, Mustafa and two others purchased fraudulent income tax return checks and cashed them at banks both in Florida and Virginia. They allege the three made more than $17.5 million on the scheme.

"There's a lot of Americans out there that would love to have jobs and all that money could be spent on much better things than someone stealing it from the government," said Robert Maddock, who lives near one of Mustafa's several Bay area businesses, including a tow truck company, used car lot,

Sarasota, Florida -- Dick Vitale is 72 years old and comes from a very large family.  Each of his parents had nine brothers and sisters.

He credits his parents for his success, "I learned at my dinner table about loyalty about love about togetherness things that I think are vital in
...more life."

Vitale's career is a rich and colorful one.  It's hard to believe, but he started out as a teacher and thought about one day becoming a principal until his hoop dreams came true.

"Think about this: 1970, I'm teaching 6th grade and I'm coaching high school. By 77-78 I'm coaching in the NBA as a head coach," said Vitale.

He was named Head Coach of the Detroit Pistons for the 1978-79 season. "It just took off, bam! A boy... a ball... a dream.. and all of a sudden, my life changed."

It changed when the Pistons let him go.  Vitale landed with ESPN after that, and has been there for more than three decades.

BRANDON, Fla. -- A man who was brutally beaten with a baseball bat during a road rage incident is now out of the hospital and speaking exclusively to 10 News.

Charlie Mabry has a swollen black eye, a dislocated wrist, and eight staples in his head. He says the situation started on
...more Monday as he was driving to his computer repair job when he swerved to avoid hitting the other driver, Cheng Hsieh, whose car was partially in the roadway.

"As I started to turn, he started to flick me off and curse at me," Mabry says.

But deputies say Hsieh was angry that Mabry didn't use a turn signal. That led to the two men yelling at one another and eventually stopping their cars near Heather Lakes Blvd. and Barmere Ln. in Brandon.

"They kind of followed each other from my understanding, according to witnesses, continuing to taunt each other, talking back and forth. They then literally stopped in the middle of the road," says Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office
